Single player maps

Load Half-Life and activate Sven Co-op. Start a LAN or Internet game as normal, but using the map "singleplayermaps.bsp". Clients simply join as normal. Singleplayermaps allows you to choose from many different starting points in the course of the Valve SP maps... more choices are available in the second time zone (jump through the portal). Although all options aren't available, the more popular ones are.

Note: If you need to skip to a particular map, at some point, type:
changelevel mapname
(where mapname is the name of a single-player map).

There's a list of the single-player map names here. To check what map you're currently playing, type "status" into the console.

General Instructions:

2.0 featured edited SPM maps, to install the patch for the Single Player maps run 'Install full SP map support' from the Sven Co-op/fixes/ start menu option. You only need to do this if you intend to run a server running the Single Player Maps. If you only intend to play on the servers, you do not need to install the patch.

There are a number of issues with the 2.0 maps, but most major problems are fixed.

There are still issues with the following:

- Because of issues with the chapters "Blast Pit", "Power Up" and
"On a Rail" the chapters will be skipped, so Sven Co-op will jump from "We've Got Hostiles" to Apprehension. A fix for these maps will be present for Sven Co-op 2.0 Final. If you wish to play these maps and ignore the current issues, you can skip straight to the start of each chapter using the following mapnames:

"Blast Pit" - c1a4k
"Power Up" - c2a1
"On a Rail" - c2a2

- Some minor errors or bugs, these will be fixed for 2.0 Final. For now skip over the maps.

Other Single Player:

Sven Co-op supports all Single Player maps, there are no entities that are required for Single Player maps to work. Therefore anything that runs in un-modded HL will run in Sven Co-op.

There has also been a couple of Single Player mods that have been tailored specifically for Sven Co-op, including more monsters, specific cfg files and gameplay tweaks and fixes.
